Chrissy and Denise live in HU3. Chrissy works at Hull Royal Hospital and Denise runs her cafe ‘Neise’s’ on Anlaby Road. They have been a couple for 37 years – married for 17. They have 4 children between them and many grandchildren.
They were regulars of St Georges and Vauxhall pub during the 80s/90’s and continue to be part of a large supportive openly gay and lesbian friendship group who meet regularly in places like Ryders and Rayners.
Denise was also coopted by Bobby Mandrell into the St Georges Ladyboys – a drag ensemble who performed inside the pub.
