The Broadway Belles were first and foremost a duo made up of Tony Beaumont, John Street who adapted, depending on the booking into a trio with the addition of Lee Jackson. All performers originated from Hull and some were from the Docklands/ HU3 area.
Tony Ward photographed them in the late 1980s and it is his photographs that inspired the start of this project.
A series of promotional cards for them are also in Ray Millington’s collection. He often booked them for performances at St Georges when he was the landlord there.
We are currently trying to connect to the individuals to record their histories.
