Patrick Lodge grew up on Hessle Rd and met Vera Lodge in Rayners pub on Hessle Rd in the 1970s. Patrick was a filleter and also worked on several fishing trips on Danish boats. Patrick and Vera married and continued to socialise on Hessle Rd until the present day. The two would attend venues during the 80s and were in the audience to see drag performances during this period. Patrick and his friends continue to meet at Halfway Hotel every 6 weeks.
