Jerry runs the Hull Fishing Heritage Centre on Hessle Road. He’s an ex-fisherman who had a full life aboard the trawlers. He also knows joy of returning home from sea to join family and friends in the pubs and clubs on Hessle Road. In our conversation Jerry describes the excitement of putting on a new fisherman’s suit and heading out to a disco with a community of people that were like family. He also talks about the characters on Hessle Road and the charity events were also important to him as it brought people together.
