Margaret Green was the full time barmaid at Dee St Club from 1981 for 25 years. She grew up on Harrow St surrounded by her family. Her mother worked in a crab house and her father was a ‘Bobber’ on the docks before becoming a watch mender. She loved to make people laugh, and entertain while working in the club and would regularly dress up for Christmas and New Year events. She is married to Bill, her second husband, who continues to give her the “more” she wants!
Bill Green is married to Margaret. They met when they were both poorly in Del a Pole hospital. Bill worked on the docks. He managed and called Bingo in Dee St Club.
