Many drag acts came from across the country to be part of the popular scene in Hull. Each act would have promo materials made with details and photographs on. The cards were sent to landlords and club managers or used by agents to secure bookings. These cards are from Ray Millington’s personal archive. He collected them when he was landlord at the St Georges, which became a well know drag hot spot! Where for 5 nights a week you could see diverse and unique performances. These special evenings drew a large audience and also magazines like APN and Gay Times who visited and published reviews
